- Please consult the user manual of your cooking appliance.
- The duration may vary depending on the number of mochi.
Place the mochi in a heat-resistant container that is deep enough, add water to submerge them, then heat.
About 2 minutes at 500W is a good indication.
- Cook the mochi until the surface begins to brown (about 4 to 5 minutes ).
- Let them rest for about 1 minute in the oven with the door closed. This allows the mochi to be well cooked and soft inside.
- Place the grilled mochi in about 1L of water (for 5 pieces of mochi) and bring to the boil.
- Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat.
- When the mochi rises to the surface, turn off the heat and let sit for 2 to 3 minutes .
