Roku, which means “six” in Japanese, takes its name from the six unique Japanese botanicals that make up the heart of this handcrafted gin. Sakura (cherry blossom) and leaf, yuzu peel, Sencha tea, Gyokuro tea, and Sanshō peppercorns are each harvested at the time of shun, the peak of its season, when the flavors are at their most intense.
These ingredients are then carefully infused, distilled separately to preserve their subtle aromas, and then blended with eight classic gin botanicals – including juniper, cardamom and angelica seed – to create a remarkably balanced spirit.
The nose reveals delicate floral notes of cherry blossom and green tea. On the palate, Roku offers a complex harmony between tradition and modernity: a classic gin base enriched by accents of Japanese citrus (yuzu), a silky texture, and a clean finish, enhanced by a spicy touch of Sanshō pepper.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, Roku is much more than a gin – it's a refined expression of nature and the Japanese seasons.
