Gold medal at the CINVE International Contest 2021
The Island of Shodoshima offers a particular landscape of rice fields called "Senmaida", composed of a set of small plots in steps. Hachi-Hachi is a Junmai sake, created with rice from these plots. It is a pure local product.
Polished only to 88% (hence the name), created with extreme care by hand from the sake master, it is a dry and surprisingly mineral sake that has a rich flavor of rice umami. It can be enjoyed cold, lukewarm or slightly warm.
Presented at MasterClass 2021 : “Local sake. An iodized bouquet and a complexity of notes of honey, sweet spices and smoke. Deep, dry with freshness. Very well balanced. Texture of umami layers, long mouth. Fascinating ! » (Sommelier Madame Julia SACAVO)
